Our students are amazing

Our Sespe and Mountain Vista students can name more than 12 works of art. They can also name several Masters. Here are 12 works from last year; parents see if your kids name these works. I'll post the answers next week.

"Still Life"

Currently we are studying Still Life in art. The work of art we are focusing on is "Still Life With Apples" by Paul Cézanne. Children are learning about perspective, artful design and the 4 most common 3D geometric shapes.

These are some examples of the art work the kids made. I provided them with 3 different mud paints and a stick for application. I used dirt, black ink, red and brown pigment to made the "paints". Kids applied the paint to pieces of sand paper representing the ruff texture of the cave walls. Photos of art are from a kinder, 1st and 5th class from both Sespe and Mountain Vista schools.
